The Hunting Academy is five days and five nights of hunting, trapping and shooting classes specifically suited for youth hunters. The lessons start in the classroom and then move on to real applications taught in the field. The Academy is held at the Presnell Plantation in Morgantown, Indiana. Shooting and archery classes are taught each day by certified instructors. This is a terrific opportunity for our youth.

The Presnell Plantation is an exceptional facility complete with many outdoor amenities such as an All Weather Trap House, a Firing Range for Marksmanship, Lakes for Fishing & Waterfowl Training, a 3D Archery Course and much more. We focus on the details of hunting using a fun, spirited approach and spend quality time covering a wide range of hunting topics, including camouflage, calling lessons, decoy strategies, safety, game laws & preservation.
The cost for the one week event is $350.00 per child.
Check-In Time : 6:00am to 9:00am.

HOOSIER YOUTH HUNT CLINIC

It's time once again to refresh our hunting skills and learn new ones at the 4th Annual Youth Hunt Clinic on Saturday, September 18th presented by Backwater Legacies Inc.

For those not familiar with the Youth Hunt Clinic, Prostaff and Hunting Professionals deliver seminars to our children with a "Hands-On" approach to learning disciplines such as Scouting, Decoy Strategies, Food Plot Basics, Blood Trailing, Marksmanship, Archery, and Calling Techniques for a variety of game species and much, much more.
The kids will have the chance to meet with some of the most experienced hunters and knowledgeable outdoorsmen in and around our area.
Oh, and don't let us forget to mention there will be several DOOR PRIZES too!
Camp sites are available for those wishing to stay the night before with electrical utilities available for Campers or RV's.

The cost for the event is $15.00 per child.
Check-In Time : 6:00am to 7:15am.
The Clinic will run from 7:30am to 5:00pm.
Gun classes fill up quickly so be sure to sign up well in advance
